Poet Shin Dong-ho, Winner of the 2nd Lee Yong-ak Literary Award
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] Poet Shin Dong-ho (55) has been selected as the winner of the 2nd Lee Yong-ak Literary Award, the quarterly poetry literary magazine Literature Youth and the publisher Hwanggeumal announced on the 24th.
The winning work is "A Garden with Endless Paths That Split into Two."
Poet Shin Dong-ho was born in 1965 in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province, and graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in Korean Language and Literature. He debuted in 1984 when his poem was selected in the Gangwon Ilbo New Year's Literary Contest while attending Gangwon High School in Chuncheon. He has published poetry collections such as "Winter Gyeongchun Line," "At Dusk," and an essay collection "The Usefulness of Time."
The Lee Yong-ak Literary Award was established last year to commemorate the literary spirit of Lee Yong-ak, a national poet who wished for the era of reunification.

The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on the 31st of next month at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Shinjeju, Jeju Island.
