BMW Korea Launches 3 Online Limited Models to Celebrate 25th Anniversary

[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] BMW Korea announced on the 24th that it will launch three online limited edition models in November to commemorate its 25th anniversary.

The November online limited edition models, launching on the 25th of this month at 2:05 PM to celebrate the 25th anniversary, are ▲M2 CS BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition ▲New X7 M50i Dark Shadow Edition ▲M340i Sedan BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Carbon Black Edition. All three models will be sold through the online sales channel ‘BMW Shop Online.’

M2 CS BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition

The M2 CS BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition is a limited model with only 20 units based on the 'M2 CS.' The M2 CS is an ultra-high-performance compact coupe focused on track driving, and this edition is being introduced in Korea for the first time.

This model features a powerful driving performance combined with a lightweight body. Under the hood, it is equipped with an M TwinPower Turbo 3ℓ inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 450 horsepower and a maximum torque of 56.1 kg·m, paired with a 7-speed M double-clutch automatic transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds, with a top speed of 280 km/h.

Carbon fiber parts are applied throughout the body for weight reduction. The front features a carbon fiber hood, which is the first time installed on a domestic model, and the roof, front splitter, side mirrors, rear spoiler, and diffuser are all made of carbon fiber. Inside, lightweight M sport seats combining Alcantara and Merino leather, an M Alcantara steering wheel, and CS-exclusive interior trims are applied.

The price of the M2 CS BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition is KRW 114.8 million or KRW 115.5 million depending on the model year. (Including VAT, with a 3.5% individual consumption tax applied)

X7 M50i Dark Shadow Edition

The BMW New X7 M50i Dark Shadow Edition, a global limited model with only 500 units, will also be sold through BMW Shop Online. Only 50 units will be released in Korea, with 25 units being introduced first this November.

The New X7 M50i Dark Shadow Edition features a matte 'Frozen Arctic Grey' color on the body, complemented by a black high-gloss kidney grille and 22-inch V-spoke 755 M wheels in Jet Black, creating an overwhelming presence.

The interior is decorated with full Merino leather in Night Blue and Black colors, with an Alcantara headliner and Dark Shadow Edition exclusive badges, creating a luxurious atmosphere.

Additionally, premium features such as ventilated comfort seats, 5-zone air conditioning and heat comfort package, panoramic glass roof sky lounge, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, and ambient air package are standard.

The New X7 M50i Dark Shadow Edition is equipped with an M TwinPower Turbo 4.4ℓ V8 gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 530 horsepower and maximum torque of 76.5 kg·m, along with the xDrive system, adaptive air suspension, and M exhaust system as standard. The price is KRW 169.4 million.

M340i BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Carbon Black Edition

This month, the sixth M340i online limited edition, the 'M340i BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Carbon Black Edition,' will also be released in a limited quantity of 25 units. The BMW M340i online limited editions have been selling out rapidly, with the 25 units prepared last October selling out in just 20 minutes.

The exterior of the M340i BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Carbon Black Edition features BMW Individual color 'Carbon Black Metallic.' This color is characterized by its ability to display various shades such as dark black, navy, and dark blue depending on the brightness and angle of external lighting.

This model is equipped with a 3ℓ inline 6-cylinder gasoline M TwinPower Turbo engine producing a maximum output of 387 horsepower and maximum torque of 51.0 kg·m. Additionally, the BMW Digital Key is standard, allowing door locking and unlocking with a credit card-shaped card key or Apple iPhone, and remote start or climate control operation via the smartphone 'My BMW' app or remote key.
