The Skill Contest is a service competition conducted by Lexus Korea since 2002 for all Lexus dealer service employees, held every two years to enhance employee capabilities and motivation in service and technical fields.
Winners are selected in four categories: ▲General Maintenance ▲Sheet Metal ▲Painting ▲Service Advisor. In this 2020 contest, 29 candidates with over 7 years of experience and who passed the master certification exam participated from among 316 technicians and service advisors belonging to 8 Lexus dealers nationwide, competing fiercely.
The four winners who took first place in each category will have their names inscribed as the 2020 champions in the training center's 'Hall of Fame,' which showcases the history of past 'Lexus Service Champions.'
This year, as a special measure for social distancing, the Service Advisor and Sheet Metal categories were held on the 19th, and the Painting and General Maintenance categories on the 20th, over two days. The competition process on both days and the awards ceremony held on the 23rd were broadcast live through the company's internal online platform, allowing many dealer executives and employees to join in support and celebration in real time.
