Seoul City Reports 108 New Confirmed Cases by 6 PM, Totaling 7,733
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Seoul City reported that from 0:00 to 18:00 on the 23rd, an additional 108 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were identified.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 7,733. Of these, 105 are community infections excluding 3 imported cases.
The infection routes are ▲ 13 cases linked to a high school in Dongdaemun-gu and a church in Mapo-gu ▲ 4 cases at a sauna in Seocho-gu ▲ 3 cases at a manufacturing factory in Jung-gu ▲ 3 cases related to a family in Nowon-gu.
One additional confirmed case was reported in each of several cluster infection cases including a short-term teacher certification academy in Dongjak-gu, a hospital in Gangseo-gu, a fitness center in Gangnam-gu, and a metropolitan area mountaineering club.
There was 1 case from contact with confirmed patients from other cities and provinces, and 48 cases classified as 'others' including sporadic cases and previous cluster infections. The infection route is under investigation for 27 confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, announced that all 501 students and staff of Sookmyung Girls' High School tested negative for COVID-19. One student at Sookmyung Girls' High School was confirmed positive on the 21st.
