Sangju-si, Gyeongbuk, Wins Grand Prize at the National Tourism Photo Contest with 'Gyeongsangjeilmun'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Sangju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Kang Young-seok) has selected the regional landmark "Gyeongsangjeilmun" work submitted by Jang Min-jae (Daejeon City) as the Grand Prize winner of the "12th National Tourism Photo Contest," and will hold an awards ceremony at 2 p.m. on the 23rd.
The event, hosted by the Sangju branch of the Korea Photographers Association (Branch Chief Lee Chang-hee), saw Sangju City select 11 winning works and 50 honorable mentions from 572 entries submitted by 111 participants over 10 days starting from the 4th. These 61 winning and honorable mention works will be used as promotional materials for the region.
Mayor Kang Young-seok of Sangju City said, "I would like to congratulate those who have received the honor of winning, and ask for continuous interest and cooperation so that the beautiful and precious moments of Sangju can be recorded and promoted both domestically and internationally."
