On the same day, Hyundai Wia delivered gifts and donations to public health centers in areas where its business sites are located, including Uiwang, Pyeongtaek, and Ansan in Gyeonggi Province, Changwon in Gyeongsangnam Province, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Seosan in Chungcheongnam Province. With the recent rapid spread of COVID-19, it was believed that medical staff have accumulated significant fatigue, leading to the decision to make this donation.
The entire support fund was raised through the in-house 'Stay Strong Campaign.' The Stay Strong Campaign is a relay public service campaign initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to overcome COVID-19. Since August, Hyundai Wia has held the Stay Strong Campaign in team relays and matched the donation funds. All employees, including those at overseas business sites, participated in the campaign.
Earlier in April, Hyundai Wia gifted agricultural product packages to Hyundai Wia employees and partner company staff to help farms affected by COVID-19. Additionally, it contributed 10 million KRW in a win-win fund to the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries to purchase agricultural products from the Gyeongsangbuk-do region and support welfare facilities.
