LG CineBeam Laser 4K Projector New Model Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 23rd that it will launch the LG CineBeam Laser 4K, which significantly enhances high definition and convenience, in the domestic market.
LG Electronics explained that as demand for home cinema continues to increase, many customers considering purchasing projectors often experience inconvenience depending on the installation type of the product.
The new LG CineBeam 4K Laser model is equipped with a ‘Triple Screen Adjustment’ feature that allows customers to project a screen of the desired shape at the desired location regardless of where the projector is placed. The lens direction can be adjusted up, down, left, and right, and the screen can be enlarged up to 1.6 times. It also includes functions to stretch or shrink the screen at 12 points along the screen border. The Triple Screen Adjustment feature is introduced for the first time in the LG CineBeam projector lineup with this new product.
By using this feature, even if customers place the product in a corner of the living room and project the screen diagonally in the opposite direction, they can easily create a rectangular screen. This reduces the hassle of installing the projector by hanging it from the ceiling or moving the product to find the exact position to project a straight screen.
The Iris mode, which adjusts screen brightness according to ambient light, and Adaptive Contrast, which automatically adjusts light output according to the video being played, provide an optimized screen for the viewing environment and content.
Additionally, the Dynamic Tone Mapping function optimizes HDR10, which expresses bright areas brighter and dark areas darker, on a frame-by-frame basis, delivering a vivid and clear screen with a sense of depth.
This product supports 4K UHD resolution with a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1. The brightness is 2,700 ANSI lumens, equivalent to turning on 2,700 candles simultaneously. It meets 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut standard set by the Digital Cinema Initiatives. The screen size can be adjusted from 40 inches up to a maximum of 300 inches.
It features an HDMI 2.1 port and supports various wireless connection functions such as Apple AirPlay 2, WiSA, and Bluetooth for screen sharing. Equipped with LG Electronics’ proprietary software platform webOS, customers can easily enjoy various content platforms such as YouTube, Watcha, Wavve, and Tving by accessing the internet without connecting external devices.
LG Electronics will provide customers who purchase the new product within the year with a projector-dedicated table from the design furniture brand Dudat and a six-month Watcha subscription for free. Additionally, the first 30 customers to purchase will receive an LG Sound Bar with gallery design as an extra gift on top of the basic purchase benefits. The launch price of the new product is 3.79 million KRW.
