Gwangju University Online Event 'Ojakgyo' to be Held... Comedian Kim Yong-moon to Host Talk Concert
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Gwangju University announced on the 22nd that it will hold an online event called ‘Ojakgyo’ for five colleges from the 24th to the 26th.
The event will take place on a dedicated online page and is hosted by the student councils of the five colleges.
It was organized to support overcoming COVID-19 and to provide students with time to communicate and empathize with each other.
Especially on the last day of the event, alumnus and comedian Kim Yong-myeong (Department of Newspaper and Broadcasting) will interact with students in real time through a live talk concert and share various stories.
On the first day of the Ojakgyo event, themed ‘Baraboda’ (Looking), held both online and offline on the 24th, photos, UCC contests, and karaoke corner videos will be provided through real-time updates.
On the 25th, Ojakgyo ‘Geonneoda’ (Crossing) will be held from 9 a.m. and will include ▲Ojakgyo ticket distribution event ▲Show Your Daily Life (hashtag event) ▲Listen to Gwangju University (story submissions) ▲NO Answer (acrostic poem) ▲Find Gwangju University (guess the Gwangju University photo) ▲Home-cooked Meal GU Teacher (home-cooked meal recipes), among others.
The live talk concert ‘Mannada’ (Meeting) on the 26th, hosted by comedian Kim Yong-myeong, will feature contest awards, karaoke corner performances, reading Gwangju University stories, and a ticket raffle.

Kang Eon-gu, chairman of the College of Health, Welfare and Education, said, “Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, non-face-to-face classes have continued, and there was no opportunity for students to communicate with each other,” adding, “We planned this event to bring joy to students who have been psychologically withdrawn and to create a place for harmony.”
