SK Innovation Donates $30,000 to Educational Institutions in Georgia, USA
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] SK Innovation announced on the 22nd that it donated $30,000 (approximately 33 million KRW) to EC3 (Empower College & Career Center), an educational institution located in Georgia, USA, where it is building a battery production plant.
In January last year, SK Innovation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Georgia state government for investment in establishing a new battery plant and promised to donate a total of $60,000 to EC3 over two years.
SK Innovation made the first donation of $30,000 last year and donated the remaining $30,000 on the 19th of this month (local time) as the second installment.
The donation will be used to purchase advanced automation machinery and equipment for practical training of EC3 students.
