Shinhan Bank and Financial Supervisory Service Hold 2020 Management Consulting Best Practices Presentation
Selected from excellent cases submitted by banks considering consulting type and innovation
First case in the banking sector to introduce non-face-to-face consulting method for self-employed struggling due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Bank announced on the 20th that its establishment of a non-face-to-face consulting platform for self-employed individuals facing management difficulties due to COVID-19 was selected as an exemplary case at the Management Consulting Best Practices Presentation hosted by the Financial Supervisory Service.
The Management Consulting Best Practices Presentation was launched last year to discover and share excellent consulting cases from commercial banks and to expand and disseminate them throughout the banking sector. This year, considering the difficulty of holding in-person gatherings due to COVID-19, the event was conducted non-face-to-face using 'Social Live.'
Among the excellent cases submitted by a total of 12 banks, four cases including Shinhan Bank were selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of consulting types and innovativeness.
Shinhan Bank was selected as an exemplary case for switching the consulting method for the self-employed to a 'non-face-to-face platform' amid restrictions on in-person consulting education programs such as group training due to social distancing measures.
Shinhan SOHO Academy, a representative program for strengthening the capabilities of the self-employed in branding, marketing, and business know-how, introduced a non-face-to-face education method amid the COVID-19 crisis.
The Successful Dream Customized Classroom is a program that educates self-employed individuals on essential topics for business operation such as taxation, legal matters, and commercial area analysis. Since last September, it has produced videos with the Financial Supervisory Service on support systems for the self-employed and strategies for the post-COVID-19 era.
