The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Heo Yong-do) will hold a business meeting by inviting People Power Party Busan City Party lawmakers at 5 p.m. on the 20th in the Crystal Ballroom of Busan Lotte Hotel.
This meeting was originally planned by the Busan business community immediately after the opening of the 21st National Assembly to congratulate the elected lawmakers and discuss solutions to major local issues, but it had been postponed due to COVID-19 and National Assembly schedules and will be held on this day.
About 60 local businesspeople, including Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Heo Yong-do, will attend the meeting, and nine local lawmakers from the People Power Party will participate, including Ha Tae-kyung, Chairman of the Busan City Party, and lawmakers Seo Byung-soo, Kim Mi-ae, Lee Heon-seung, Hwang Bo-seung-hee, Ahn Byung-gil, Baek Jong-heon, Lee Joo-hwan, and Jeon Bong-min.
The meeting will focus on discussing the prompt promotion plan for Gadeok New Airport, as the Gimhae Airport expansion plan has been virtually scrapped.
Regarding the enactment of the 'Gadeok New Airport Special Act,' which is expected to be proposed by the People Power Party Busan City Party, various administrative procedure simplifications will be intensively discussed to ensure that Gadeok New Airport can open normally before the 2030 Busan World Expo.
In addition, topics related to expanding future growth engines such as ▲successful hosting of the 2030 Busan World Expo ▲second relocation of public institutions from the metropolitan area ▲establishment of an aviation parts MRO industrial complex ▲support for the establishment of a new blockchain-based Busan real estate trust company, as well as measures to enhance the competitiveness of local representative companies facing recent management difficulties, such as Renault Samsung Motors and Air Busan, will be proposed.
During the open discussion time, attending businesspeople will additionally discuss △expansion of flexible working hours △expansion of the scope of the special extended working hours approval system △expansion of support for business succession in small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies.
