The First Female Senior Official at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration Opening Ceremony
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter]The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced on the 20th that Kim Eun-seong, Deputy Director (47, photo), was promoted and appointed as a senior public official to the Director of the Defense Industry Promotion Bureau. Since DAPA was established in 2006, this is the first time a female senior public official has been appointed.
Director Kim began her public service career in 2001 (44th Administrative Examination) as an administrative officer in the Planning and Budget Office of the Ministry of National Defense. Since 2004, she was dispatched to the Defense Acquisition System Improvement Team, where she is credited with contributing to the launch and establishment of DAPA as a specialized agency for acquiring defense weapon systems.

DAPA explained that she possesses expertise and practical experience in security and defense fields overall, and is expected to make significant contributions to the promotion and development of the defense industry.
