KOTRA Hosts 'Korea-Netherlands Defense Industry R&D Cooperation Webinar'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] South Korea and the Netherlands will cooperate in the defense industry sector. KOTRA announced on the 20th that it will hold the 'Korea-Netherlands Defense Industry R&D Cooperation Webinar' in connection with the Defense and Security Export Week.
KOTRA organized this event with the Netherlands Defense Industry Association and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Korea. The Defense Acquisition Program Administration of Korea and the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands will present their research and development (R&D) policies, and the Agency for Defense Development will propose R&D projects and cooperation plans together with the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO). DSM, a global leader in bulletproof materials, will present cases of cooperation with Korean companies.
Peter House, Head of Overseas Cooperation at the Netherlands Defense Industry Association, said, "We want to pioneer the defense market of third countries together with Korean defense industry companies." Lee Kyungho, Director of the Defense Materials Trade Support Center at KOTRA, stated, "We will seek win-win opportunities by leveraging the strengths of the defense industries of both countries."
