HiteJinro Launches 'Hickinbotham' Wine Produced at Premier Australian Vineyard
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Wines produced from a premium Australian vineyard are being sold.
HiteJinro announced on the 20th that it will launch four types of 'Hickinbotham' wines produced at a historic vineyard known as Australia's wine heritage.
Hickinbotham wines are produced in the Clarendon region, which has a history of grape cultivation since 1846, located within the famous wine region of McLaren Vale in southern Adelaide, Australia.
The wines being sold this time include four types from the 2016 vintage, including 'Hickinbotham The Peak,' all of which have received scores of 90 or above from renowned wine critics, indicating high quality.
Hickinbotham The Peak is the signature wine produced from the vineyard's top-tier plot and old vines planted in 1971, blending 57% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Shiraz. Famous wine critics James Halliday and James Suckling gave the 2016 vintage a score of 96, and James Halliday rated the 2018 vintage 99 points.
'Hickinbotham Revivalist Merlot' is a top-tier Merlot comparable to masterpieces such as Ch?teau P?trus and Masseto, and it was the first wine to sell out after the launch of Hickinbotham. James Halliday rated it 95 points, and James Suckling gave it 92 points.
'Hickinbotham Truman Cabernet Sauvignon' is considered the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in South Australia, crafted with the skills of Napa Valley's top winemakers. James Halliday awarded it 96 points, and James Suckling gave it 95 points.
'Hickinbotham Brooks Road Shiraz' is a premium Shiraz produced on a special hillside slope in the Clarendon region, offering a rich aroma and deep flavor with vibrant liveliness. James Halliday gave it 96 points, and James Suckling rated it 94 points.

Hickinbotham, a collaboration between a premium Australian vineyard and America's top winemakers, will be sold from mid-month through wine shops at Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch, Hyundai Department Store (Mokdong Branch, Pangyo Branch, Cheonho Branch), and Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch.
