Kyobo Life Insurance Holds Conference to Promote 'Diversity and Inclusion Culture'
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 19th that it held a conference in the form of a web seminar with G20-linked women's organizations to promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Since 2012, Kyobo Life Insurance has been hosting the 'KWIN (Korea Women's Innovative Network)' conference to motivate and develop leadership capabilities for the growth of female talent both domestically and internationally.
This year's conference, held under the theme "Awaken the Giant Within You (Next Normal & Leadership)," was co-hosted with the 'G20 Empower Alliance,' a direct organization under the G20 leaders.
The event featured congratulatory remarks from Choi Kyung-rim, G20 Sherpa and Ambassador for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with lectures on topics such as "Leadership Needed for the Next Generation" by Eric John, CEO of Boeing Korea; Barbara Zollman, CEO of the Korea-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Jung Saem-mool, CEO of Jung Saem-mool Inspiration; and Jeong Shin-ah, CEO of Kakao Ventures.
Additionally, Heo Geum-ju, Executive Director of Kyobo Life Insurance and Korean representative of the G20 Empower Alliance, and Park Joo-geun, CEO of CEO Score, shared opinions on the topic "Challenges Companies and Governments Must Address to Expand Female Executives."
Shin Chang-jae, Chairman of Kyobo Life Insurance, said, "Kyobo Life Insurance is striving to discover future growth engines by improving work processes and internal communication methods to suit the digital era," adding, "I hope this serves as an opportunity to reflect on new leadership in the face of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation, and the post-COVID-19 era."
