Interpark Theater Opens Musical Gallery + Cafe 'Cafe de Blue'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] Interpark Theater, which operates performance venues such as Blue Square and Ewha Womans University Samsung Hall, announced on the 18th that it has opened 'Cafe de Blue' in the space beneath the Hannam 1 Overpass.
'Cafe de Blue' was established as part of Seoul City's rest area creation project. Seoul City is carrying out a project to transform idle spaces under city overpasses into rest areas for citizens, such as book cafes, children's libraries, and performance venues. The space beneath the Hannam 1 Overpass was one of five pilot project sites, and Interpark Theater was selected as the operator through a competitive bidding process.
'Cafe de Blue' features an indoor space of 51.12㎡ made of glass, and outside, nine pergolas with roofs have been installed as resting areas. It is located at a cultural and transportation hub with excellent accessibility, adjacent to Blue Square, Hangangjin Station on Line 6, and bus stops connecting Gangnam and Gangbuk.
The interior of 'Cafe de Blue' is decorated with a musical gallery atmosphere. Interpark Theater stated that it plans to attempt marketing linked to musicals, such as actor fan meetings, flea markets with musical MD products, and a musical tourism information center, and operate the space as a cultural and resting place that embraces musical production companies, musical fans, and citizens alike.
Interpark Theater is holding various opening commemorative events until the 30th, including giving a tumbler for purchases over 10,000 won and a musical mug cup for purchases over 30,000 won.
