View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 18th that it held the ‘2019 Partner of the Year’ awards ceremony for outstanding partners who made significant contributions to Renault Samsung’s research and development and production throughout 2019.
The ceremony, held on the 17th at the Busan plant, recognized a total of six partners across five categories. The recipients were: SPIEL for the ‘Win-Win Cooperation Award,’ Yuil Rubber and Shindaerim Precision Industry Co., Ltd. for the ‘Parts Performance Award,’ Eunsan Shipping & Aviation Co., Ltd. for the ‘Service & Equipment Performance Award,’ W1 for the ‘Research & Development Award,’ and Jeil Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. for the ‘Quality Award.’
Marking its 10th edition since its inception in 2011, the Renault Samsung Partner of the Year awards ceremony was originally scheduled for April this year but was postponed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The event was held on a small scale, with only about 20 Renault Samsung executives and partner representatives attending.
Attendees encouraged overcoming the difficult times caused by COVID-19 and pledged to further strengthen cooperative relationships based on mutual growth and win-win cooperation to actively respond to future market uncertainties and crises.
Additionally, at the Renault Group Global Partner Awards ceremony held online on the 5th, attended by Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, LG Electronics and Ilheung were selected among domestic companies. LG Electronics received the ‘Innovation’ award for the readability and completeness of the 9.3-inch vertical display applied to the XM3, Zoe, and Captur models, while Ilheung was recognized for strict quality control in exporting airbags and seatbelt warning lights, receiving the ‘Quality and Customer Satisfaction’ award.
