Gurye-gun Initiates Landslide Damage Recovery to Ensure Residents' Safety
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 17th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it has secured 3 billion won in national and provincial government budgets for the restoration of landslide damage caused by heavy rains and typhoons, and will proceed with the landslide restoration project.
The county conducted an expert on-site investigation last month to quickly restore the landslide damage caused by heavy rains, completing a cause investigation and design services to prevent additional damage.
The county aims to complete the project before the rainy season next year and plans to start the restoration work around residential and industrial facilities to minimize inconvenience to residents.
A county official said, “We will actively communicate with residents in the damaged areas during the landslide restoration process and make every effort to prevent recurrence of landslides and complete the restoration project early.”
