According to the telecommunications industry on the 16th, KT and LG Uplus have raised the official subsidy for the Galaxy S20 FE to a maximum of 480,000 KRW. At the time of its release on the 16th of last month, the maximum official subsidy was 240,000 KRW.
KT offers official subsidies ranging from 118,000 KRW to 480,000 KRW, while LG Uplus provides between 240,000 KRW and 450,000 KRW. KT offers the highest official subsidy of 480,000 KRW starting from plans in the 90,000 KRW range, and LG Uplus offers the highest subsidy of 450,000 KRW starting from plans in the 80,000 KRW range.
The retail price of the Galaxy S20 FE is 899,800 KRW. If you choose a plan in the 81,000 KRW range from LG Uplus, you can purchase the device for 382,300 KRW after applying the official subsidy (450,000 KRW) and additional subsidy (67,500 KRW).
LG Uplus's official subsidies are as follows: ▲ 5G Light (Senior/Youth) 240,000 KRW ▲ 5G Light 292,000 KRW ▲ 5G Standard 398,000 KRW ▲ 5G Smart 450,000 KRW ▲ 5G Premier Regular 450,000 KRW ▲ Premier Plus 450,000 KRW ▲ Premier Super 450,000 KRW. Receiving a 25% discount on the plan fee (based on 24 months) is slightly cheaper.

Samsung Electronics and telecom companies have increased the official subsidy for the Galaxy S20 FE within a month mainly to counter the iPhone 12. The goal is to lower the burden of purchasing the device by raising the official subsidy and attract 5G subscribers. Previously, Samsung Electronics significantly increased the official subsidies for the Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Note20, Galaxy S20, and Note10. Samsung Electronics and telecom companies are also running a marketing campaign until the end of this month that offers up to an additional 200,000 KRW compensation for trade-in prices on Samsung flagship smartphones and older iPhone models.
