The county experienced various damages, including the flooding of 2,439 hectares of rice paddies and farmland due to Typhoons No. 9 and 10, which, combined with previous heavy rain damage, caused significant difficulties especially for residents whose main livelihoods depend on agriculture and forestry.
This disaster relief fund will be provided to 2,105 households affected by Typhoons No. 9 and 10, totaling 2.155 billion KRW to support livelihoods damaged in agriculture, forestry, and other sectors. The funding includes 1.09 billion KRW from the national government, 540 million KRW from the provincial government, and 642 million KRW from the county government.
Governor Kim Junsung said, "The consecutive typhoons last summer caused especially severe damage to farms," and added, "We hope that the disaster relief funds provided this time will help stabilize residents' lives."
