Life Insurance Foundation Supports Overcoming COVID-19 by Participating in the 'Stay Strong' Campaign

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The Life Insurance Social Contribution Foundation announced on the 16th that it has joined the relay campaign "Stay Strong," which supports all those working on the front lines to overcome the crisis and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This public campaign, initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to gather voices of hope and encouragement amid the pandemic-induced downturn, is conducted by holding a sign with the phrase "Stay Strong" and nominating three people as the next participants.
The Life Insurance Foundation joined the challenge upon nomination by Baek Jong-woo, director of the Central Suicide Prevention Center, and nominated the following as the next participants who strive to protect precious lives: Hwang Yeon-ok, president of the Seoul branch of the Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association; Kim Eun-ji, director of the Youth Mobile Counseling Center; and Park Hye-sun, director of Guro Saengmyeong Forest Daycare Center.
Song Ki-jung, executive director of the Life Insurance Foundation, said, "We participated in this campaign with the intention of encouraging and supporting each other to overcome the difficult situation caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. We ask everyone to actively practice personal hygiene with civic awareness and responsibility until the day COVID-19 ends."

The Life Insurance Foundation is a public interest corporation established in 2007 through a joint agreement among 20 life insurance companies including Samsung Life, Kyobo Life, and Hanwha Life. It strives to fulfill corporate social responsibility through social contribution activities based on the life-respecting and life-guaranteeing spirit that life insurance pursues. The foundation carries out projects to address blind spots focusing on four major areas: suicide prevention, spreading a culture of life, resolving low birthrate, and overcoming aging, and promotes collaboration with local governments and specialized welfare institutions.
