KT Develops Seamless Quantum Encryption Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT has developed the world's first 'Quantum Channel Automatic Switching Recovery Technology' that enables uninterrupted quantum cryptography communication services.
According to KT on the 16th, the 'Quantum Channel Automatic Switching Recovery Technology' is a technology that creates and supplies a new quantum key on a backup line when a hacking attempt is detected. Using this technology makes it possible to enhance the stability of commercial services utilizing quantum cryptography. It is a technology required in fields such as national defense or finance, where a high level of security is necessary.
Lee Jong-sik, Head of KT Infrastructure Research Institute (Senior Executive Director), said, "We have innovatively improved the problems of the existing quantum cryptography communication structure and laid the technological foundation to provide stable quantum cryptography communication services to KT customers," adding, "We will continue to collaborate with various companies and strive to develop diverse solutions for the commercialization of quantum cryptography communication."
