Chairman Kim Seung-yeon's Second Son Kim Dong-won Promoted to Executive Director at Hanwha Life Insurance

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Kim Dong-won, Chief Digital Strategy Officer (CDSO) of Hanwha Life and the second son of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon, has been promoted to Executive Director.
On the 15th, Hanwha Life announced that it had promoted Kim Dong-won to Executive Director along with four other Deputy General Managers in the '2021 Regular Executive Personnel Appointment.' Hanwha Life stated, "Executive Director Kim Dong-won was highly evaluated for his contribution to creating future new businesses through digital innovation at Hanwha Life." This is interpreted as a reflection of the company's determination to accelerate and promote its transformation into an insurance company leading the digital era in a rapidly changing contactless environment following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Executive Director Kim was recognized for strengthening future competitiveness by implementing a digital-centered organizational restructuring in May and laying the foundation for digital management by introducing OKR, a performance system known in digital companies. Last month, he led the launch of 'LIFE MD,' a new digital sales channel based on a mobile application (app) that allows agents to operate, the first of its kind in the industry.
Executive Director Kim has accumulated diverse experience in the digital sector, serving as head of the Hanwha Group Digital Team, Deputy Head of Hanwha Life's Corporate Innovation Office, and Executive Director of the Digital Innovation Office. Since August last year, he has been serving as Hanwha Life's CDSO.
