Jeju Police Agency Holds Workshop for Local Police Station Chiefs
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Provincial Police Agency announced on the 13th that it recently held a workshop at Hallasan Botanical Garden attended by Commissioner Kim Wonjun and former district police station and patrol unit chiefs.
The workshop's catchphrase was "100 Days in Jeju, 565km on Foot," referring to the 565km Commissioner Kim traveled visiting frontline sites such as district police stations and patrol units during his first 100 days in office. It reflects his commitment to continuously communicate with local police working in departments closest to residents and to listen to their voices.
During the workshop, Commissioner Kim and local police station chiefs engaged in in-depth discussions about the role of local police stations in becoming "the safest country, police respected and loved." They also shared field difficulties and agreed on the need for close cooperation beyond jurisdictional boundaries between district police stations and patrol units to respond comprehensively to major incidents.
