Facebook CEO Zuckerberg Mentions 'Biden as Next US President'
Revealed This Way at Internal Staff Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, the world's largest social networking service (SNS), reportedly said that Joe Biden is the winner of the presidential election, according to dpa news agency on the 12th (local time).
According to the report, Zuckerberg said in a conference call with all employees that day, "It now seems clear what the election result is," and "Joe Biden is the next President of the United States."
He added, "It is important for the people to be confident that the election was fundamentally fair," and "the tens of millions of people who voted for President Donald Trump feel the same way."
This remark came when Zuckerberg was asked during the meeting, "There are concerns that the Biden side does not like Facebook. How do you plan to cooperate with the newly inaugurated administration?"
Zuckerberg also said, "Using social media to stir expectations that the election result will be overturned later is not helpful," and "It is true that the situation becomes difficult if the U.S. President himself shares such claims."
