[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Concerns that COVID-19 could spread again centered around entertainment establishments in the Sangmu district of Gwangju are becoming a reality, causing health authorities to be on high alert.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 12th, two workers at entertainment establishments in the Sangmu district of Seo-gu were confirmed positive for COVID-19 the previous day, and four additional related cases were confirmed.
They were classified as Gwangju cases 530 to 533, all confirmed to have been in contact with case 528.
Additionally, a resident of Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, who was confirmed to have been in contact with Jeonnam case 201, was diagnosed as Gwangju's 534th positive case.
So far in Gwangju, 534 people have been confirmed positive, with 511 fully recovered and discharged, and 20 currently receiving treatment. There have been 3 deaths.
