[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Provincial Police Agency announced on the 10th that it conducted the 8th community policing activity, ‘Walking Around Our School with a Theme,’ in collaboration with the headquarters, Dongbu Police Station, and the Jeju National University General Women's Student Council.
The community policing activity held that day selected themes such as ▲Creating a Safe Campus ▲Police Promotion including Recruitment System, and was carried out together with Jeju National University officials and the General Women's Student Council.
Regarding the first theme, ‘Creating a Safe Campus,’ the police patrolled the entire campus to check for crime vulnerability factors and listened to the actual anxiety factors experienced by students.
They also inspected whether illegal cameras were installed in restrooms frequently used by students, such as the library and student union building.
The second theme, ‘Police Promotion including Recruitment System,’ involved promoting recruitment systems such as qualifications and examination methods for police officers at the Jeju National University Student Union building, while also publicizing police activities like ‘Response Patrol,’ which is promoted monthly through Jeju National University restroom notices and the General Women's Student Council’s ‘Daum’ SNS.
Response Patrol is a Jeju police security service where residents can request patrol times and locations, and receive notifications of patrol results.
