Gwangyang Police Conduct School Violence and Traffic Safety Prevention Campaign on School Commute
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang Police Station (Chief Kim Jung-ho) conducted a joint police-school-community campaign on the morning of the 10th in front of Jujin Elementary School to prevent school violence and create a safe commuting environment for students.
This campaign was organized to eradicate school violence and ensure safe school attendance as full in-person classes resumed following the easing of social distancing measures.
In particular, given that COVID-19 is still ongoing, instead of friendly gestures like high-fives with students as before, the importance of COVID-19 prevention was also emphasized by providing hand sanitizers.
Although students initially felt awkward and shy during the morning campaign in front of the school after a long time, they gradually responded enthusiastically, allowing everyone to have a pleasant and warm school commute.
