On the 9th, according to Gwangju Metropolitan City, a Gwangju Prison employee, Mr. A, residing in Sinchang-dong, Gwangsan-gu, was additionally confirmed positive for COVID-19 and classified as case number 524 in the region.
It was confirmed that Mr. A had worked the same shift on the 5th with another Gwangju Prison employee, Mr. B (Gwangju case number 520), who was previously infected.
With this, the total number of confirmed cases at Gwangju Prison is currently two, and the secondary infections related to case 520 have increased to three, including Mr. B’s acquaintances, Gwangju cases 522 and 523.
