Gwangyang-si, All COVID-19 Tests Negative for Workers at High-Risk Nursing and Disability Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City Health Center announced on the 9th that all high-risk nursing facility workers who underwent COVID-19 mass testing from the 2nd to the 5th tested negative.
Amid continuous outbreaks of COVID-19 clusters in nursing hospitals in the Seoul metropolitan area and Busan, the city conducted proactive mass testing of workers at nursing institutions and facilities for people with disabilities to block silent transmission within the region and protect high-risk facilities.
The testing targeted 668 workers at a total of 24 locations, including ▲nursing hospitals ▲nursing homes ▲facilities for people with disabilities, and regular testing will continue to prevent the occurrence of cluster infections in high-risk facilities.
