[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Bank announced on the 9th that it will hold a customer event for the 'Shinhan Main Export-Import Foreign Currency Account' until December 8.
In this event, individual business customers who newly open a 'Shinhan Main Export-Import Foreign Currency Account' through the mobile application Shinhan SOL and SOL Biz will receive a GS Caltex fuel coupon worth 10,000 KRW as a gift. Additionally, if the cumulative amount of deposits and withdrawals in Korean won based on the newly opened foreign currency account is equivalent to at least 100 USD, they will receive one Starbucks Americano coupon as an extra gift. The coupons will be sent via text message to the phone number registered with the bank on December 16.
The Shinhan Main Export-Import Foreign Currency Account allows only one account per customer. If an export-import related overseas remittance of at least 100 USD is made by the 15th of the third month after account opening, the overseas remittance fees for sending and receiving can be waived up to three times per month each. After that, fee waivers of up to three times per month are available based on the average balance over the past three months. Furthermore, a 50% preferential exchange rate is provided for non-face-to-face transactions and automatic transfers, and efficient foreign exchange risk management is possible through automatic transfers (automatic deposits and automatic sales).
