Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Park Jong-won Points Out 'Smart Farm Innovation Valley Detailed Plan Deficiencies'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Park Jong-won, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly, pointed out that the Smart Farm Innovation Valley project, which Jeonnam Province is promoting as a key project, lacks detailed plans regarding the supply of youth jobs and other aspects.
On the 4th, during the administrative audit of the Agriculture, Livestock and Food Bureau, Park Jong-won stated, “There is a lack of solutions for trainees other than the top performers among the 52 trainees in the Smart Farm Innovation Valley youth nurturing project.”
He continued, “The Smart Farm Innovation Valley should be well planned and operated in detail for young trainees as part of future agriculture, to revitalize young farmers and secure the future of agriculture. It must strive to discover various alternatives as a project for supplying youth jobs and benefiting local residents, thereby contributing to farm income.”
Additionally, he proposed, “The Namdo Market commission fee (6%) should be lowered to help increase farm income, and since the chicken slaughter inspection fee in Jeonnam Province is relatively high compared to other cities and provinces, the fee should be reduced to lessen the burden on livestock farmers.”
In response, Kim Kyung-ho, head of the Agriculture, Livestock and Food Bureau, replied, “We will create a rear complex for Smart Farm Innovation Valley trainees to participate in rental-type smart farms at affordable rents and prepare plans to involve them in management practice farms.”
