Ulsan City, Themes of 'Ulsan-type New Deal' and 'Hydrogen Mobility Eco-friendly Energy'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will operate the 'Ulsan City Exhibition Hall' at the 2020 Korea Balanced Development Expo, held online from November 9 to 12.
The 2020 Korea Balanced Development Expo is an event held to promote the Korean New Deal policy and the regional balanced New Deal policy under the theme "A Strong Nation through the New Deal." It is hosted by the National Balanced Development Committee, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, and organized by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology and the Korea Productivity Center.
Originally scheduled to be held at the Chungbuk Cheongju Cultural Manufacturing Center in September, it was converted to an online expo due to the resurgence of COVID-19 and is now being held online.
The main programs consist of an online opening ceremony, regional New Deal exhibition halls, policy expos, and citizen participation forums. These are conducted through the expo website and YouTube (Balanced Development TV).
The 'Ulsan City Exhibition Hall' is themed around the Ulsan-type New Deal and is composed of two sectors: Digital New Deal and Green New Deal.
Pre-produced content includes an eco-friendly energy exhibition hall (Ulsan Technopark Energy Technology Support Center Promotion Hall) and a hydrogen mobility exhibition hall (KTX Ulsan Station Hydrogen Vehicle Exhibition Hall), where reporters visit, introduce, and provide commentary.

An official from Ulsan City stated, "Participating in this Balanced Development Expo is expected to greatly help promote Ulsan's key initiatives such as the eco-friendly hydrogen city and floating offshore wind power projects," and added, "We plan to attract the 2021 Korea Balanced Development Expo to Ulsan to further enhance the city's urban brand."
