Woori Bank, Check and Apply for Non-Face-to-Face Credit Loans on KakaoPay
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Bank announced on the 9th that it has launched the 'Woori WON Workplace Loan' product on the 'My Loan Limit' service (loan product comparison service) provided by the lifestyle financial platform KakaoPay.
As part of the business agreement signed with KakaoPay in September for financial and platform convergence, Woori Bank enabled direct inquiry of Woori Bank loan product limits and interest rates on KakaoPay's 'My Loan Limit' service using open API. Through this, users can check the limit and interest rate of the Woori WON Workplace Loan and apply for the loan by linking to Woori Bank's mobile banking service, 'Woori WON Banking.'
The Woori WON Workplace Loan is a credit loan for employees who have been working at their current workplace for more than six months and have an annual income of over 20 million KRW. It can be applied for non-face-to-face without submitting documents. The loan limit is up to 200 million KRW (up to 150% of annual income), and interest rate discounts of up to 0.7 percentage points are available, including 0.2 percentage points for salary transfer and 0.1 percentage points for using Woori Card.
KakaoPay's 'My Loan Limit' service was selected as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission in October last year. Customers can compare the loanable amounts and interest rates from financial companies based on the information entered in KakaoPay.
Starting with the provision of products using this open API, Woori Bank is developing customized digital financial products and services with KakaoPay and is planning to expand services in real estate, automobile finance, and more in the future.
