One Overseas Entrant Confirmed COVID-19 Positive in Gwangju...Total 519 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] One additional COVID-19 case has been confirmed in the Gwangju area. The total cumulative number of confirmed cases among overseas arrivals has increased to 519.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 8th, Mr. A, who arrived from Slovakia, tested positive for COVID-19.
Mr. A entered Incheon Airport at around 10:15 AM the previous day and arrived in Gwangju in the afternoon of the same day.
He was quarantined immediately upon arrival, and there are no additional movement paths or contacts, according to Gwangju City.
So far, 519 confirmed cases have occurred in the Gwangju area, with 9 patients currently receiving isolation treatment.
A total of 172,095 people have been tested, and 141 are awaiting results.
