Sangju City Releases 70,000 Freshwater Snails into Iancheon Stream ... Following Crucian Carp and Carp
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Sangju City announced on the 6th that it released 70,000 freshwater snails approximately 0.7 cm in length, supplied by the Gyeongbuk Provincial Native Fish Commercialization Center, into the Iancheon area on the 5th to create inland water resources.
In the first half of this year, Sangju City released 170,000 crucian carp fry and 100,000 catfish, and in the second half, 50,000 crucian carp and 15,000 carp. The city is striving to restore inland water fishery resources and create a healthy ecosystem through guidance and crackdowns on illegal fishing.
