60-Year-Old Unconscious After Being Hit by Falling Steel Materials at Construction Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A worker at a construction site lost consciousness after being hit by a falling steel material.
According to the police on the 4th, the Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul received a report that around 8 a.m. that day, a 60-year-old day laborer, Mr. A, who was working at a new house construction site in Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, was struck on the head by steel material falling from above and collapsed.
While a mobile crane operator was lowering the steel system materials from the 6th floor to the 1st floor, some materials fell, and Mr. A was hit, causing the accident. The material is reported to weigh approximately 600 kg.
The ambulance team dispatched after the report transported Mr. A to the hospital, but he is still unconscious.
