Police Investigate 'Threatening Leaflets' at French Embassy in Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] The police are pursuing two foreigners who posted threatening leaflets on the wall of the French Embassy in Korea, containing messages such as "Do not disrespect Muslims."
According to the police, the Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul is identifying the two foreign men suspected of threatening a diplomatic envoy.
On the 1st at around 10:30 PM, they posted five leaflets on the wall of the French Embassy located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. The leaflets contained messages such as "Do not destroy our religion" and "Those who point a sword at us will be killed by that sword." There was also a leaflet with a photo of French President Emmanuel Macron marked with a red pen 'X'.
The police are analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to trace their movements.
