The National Peasants' Federation and Korea Agricultural Policy Newspaper comprehensively considered field relevance, sincerity, and expertise through coverage and monitoring of the national audit to select the best National Assembly member.
In particular, the policies pointed out and proposed by Assemblyman Yoon Jae-gap during the national audit received high praise from the agricultural sector.
First, Assemblyman Yoon strongly advocated for the introduction of the Market Wholesaler System at Garak Market during the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs national audit held on the 23rd of last month. The Market Wholesaler System has been promoted since the 20th National Assembly to reduce distribution stages and eliminate price gaps in agricultural products but was scrapped due to opposition from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Assemblyman Yoon stated, “The Market Wholesaler System is beneficial to both consumers and producers as it reduces distribution stages and allows farmers to directly participate in price determination,” and proposed, “Let us pilot about 15 market wholesaler stores at around 5% of total transaction volume and improve the system.”
Additionally, he urged the government to supplement the public interest-type direct payment system first implemented in May. Assemblyman Yoon strongly urged the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to allow applications for the public interest-type direct payment even without a history of receiving direct payments, stating, “Excluding applicants who have not received direct payments in the past three years violates the principle of equality.”
Finally, his criticism of the manipulation of manufacturing years of imported agricultural machinery also received positive evaluations from farmers. Assemblyman Yoon criticized, “Sales companies manipulate the manufacturing years of agricultural machinery, causing farmers to purchase older machinery at higher prices.”
Assemblyman Yoon Jae-gap previously introduced a bill to amend the Agricultural Mechanization Promotion Act on the 5th to require engraving the manufacturing year and month on the main body and engine of agricultural machinery.
