Renault Samsung Motors Hosts 'Twizy Race' with European Chamber of Commerce in Korea for Underprivileged Groups
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 4th that it will hold the Renault Twizy Race, encouraging donations from member companies of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) for socially marginalized groups, over three days in four cities including Seoul.
This "ECCK Charity Race with Renault Samsung Motors" is part of a charity event organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), with Renault Samsung Motors participating as the main sponsor.
A total of five Twizys will participate in this event, which will take place over three days starting today in Seoul, then moving through Daejeon and Daegu, and arriving in Busan on the 6th. During the charity race, the Twizys will play a key role in attracting the attention of ECCK member companies in each city and encouraging donations for socially marginalized groups.
After the race, Renault Samsung Motors will donate one Twizy each to two social welfare organizations to help alleviate the difficulties faced by social groups in need of support and attention due to prolonged social distancing caused by COVID-19. The social welfare organizations plan to use the Twizys for various welfare activities such as visiting services.
Dominique Signora, President of Renault Samsung Motors, said, "Due to COVID-19, neighbors who need attention and help are experiencing greater difficulties such as isolation and disconnection from the outside world," adding, "In times like these, it becomes clear how important it is to unite and communicate with each other."
