Daehan Green Power Signs Joint Wind Power Development Agreement with Eurus Energy
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Daehan Green Power, an eco-friendly renewable energy specialist company, announced on the 4th that it held a "Wind Power Project Joint Development Agreement Ceremony" to sign a joint development agreement for wind power projects with the global wind power company Eurus Energy Holdings (hereinafter Eurus Energy). This contract was jointly signed by Daehan Green Power, its parent company Daehan Green Energy, and Eurus Energy Holdings.
At the agreement ceremony, Park Jung-kyu, Director of Eurus Energy Korea, attended on behalf of Eurus Energy Holdings CEO Inazumi Hideyuki.
Through this agreement, Daehan Green Power, its parent company Daehan Green Energy, and Eurus Energy will jointly develop a domestic wind power project with a capacity of 82.8MW. Specifically, the three companies will jointly invest in Daehan Green Energy's wind power projects, including the 37.8MW Ganggu Wind Power Project, the 21MW Gangdong Wind Power Project, and the 24MW Jeongeup Wind Power Project. The EPC will be handled by Daehan Green Energy and Daehan Green Power, as stipulated in the agreement.
A representative of Eurus Energy explained the background of this agreement, stating, "Daehan Green Energy is a top-tier domestic developer that has successfully developed various projects in diverse environments in the domestic wind power sector. The cooperation between Eurus Energy, which owns 3GW of wind power assets worldwide, and Daehan Green Energy will greatly contribute to the expansion of wind power in Korea."
Daehan Green Energy plans to expand its business scope by participating in wind power project development not only domestically but also overseas through close collaboration with Eurus Energy. Eurus Energy operates wind power businesses worldwide, including North America, South America, Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and Africa, and is a leading global company in wind power development and operation.
Daehan Green Power’s parent company, Daehan Green Energy, established in 2011, is the number one renewable energy development specialist developer in Korea. It has successfully developed wind power complexes such as Yeonggwang Baeksu Wind Power, Hajang Wind Power, and Samsu Wind Power, and has also entered the solar power sector, preparing for the completion ceremony of the 99MW Gwangbaek Salt Field Solar Power Complex, the largest solar power complex in Korea.
In June, Daehan Green Energy, Korea’s top renewable energy development specialist developer, acquired management rights of Daehan Green Power. Since then, Daehan Green Power has actively entered the eco-friendly renewable energy development business focusing on wind and solar power generation in cooperation with its parent company Daehan Green Energy.
