Goheung-gun Hosts '2020 Public Officials Kindness and Integrity Training'
Leading the Implementation of Administrative Services for the Happiness of Residents
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Goheung-gun announced on the 3rd that it will conduct the ‘2020 Goheung-gun Customized Courtesy and Integrity Training for Public Officials’ from the 4th to the 13th for the happiness of residents and the development of county administration.
This training will be held a total of 8 times, starting with about 40 department heads (grade 5 or higher) at the Marianne & Margaret Sharing Training Center, targeting a total of about 320 people.
The training reflects the desired education compiled through recent consulting and employee surveys, and covers various topics such as △ integrity for organizational culture formation △ courtesy in competency enhancement △ emotional empathy with civil petitioners △ socio-economic issues after COVID-19 △ basic qualities public officials should have for residents’ happiness and county administration development, and healing for better workplace life, from department heads to newcomers appointed in October this year.

A county official said, “The expectations of residents for public officials’ integrity and courtesy have increased significantly compared to the past, going beyond simply not accepting bribes or committing corruption,” and added, “We hope that through this training, public officials will be reborn as more courteous and proactive providers of administrative services.”
