Ahn Young-mi and Kim Shin-young Leave Radio DJ Seat Empty in Grief Over Late Park Ji-sun

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Comedians Ahn Young-mi and Kim Shin-young mourn deeply and leave their DJ seats following the sad news of the passing of the late Park Ji-sun.

On the 3rd, MBC announced, "The MBC FM4U program 'Noon Hope Song Kim Shin-young' airing today will be hosted by Haengju instead of DJ Kim Shin-young."

They added, "'2 O'Clock Date Muzi, Ahn Young-mi' will be hosted solely by Muzi without DJ Ahn Young-mi." MBC also stated, "If Kim Shin-young and Ahn Young-mi express their intention to participate, they will join the live broadcast."

On the afternoon of the 2nd, during the live broadcast of the visible radio MBC FM4U '2 O'Clock Date Muzi, Ahn Young-mi,' Ahn Young-mi broke down in tears upon hearing the news of Park Ji-sun's death and hurriedly left the studio. The radio station reported that Ahn Young-mi stayed in the studio until the end of the broadcast to compose herself. Muzi and guest Song Jin-woo delivered the final farewell on her behalf.

Ahn Young-mi and Kim Shin-young, who had built a close friendship as fellow comedians during Park Ji-sun's lifetime, visited the funeral hall at Ewha Mokdong Hospital in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, where the late's wake was held on the 2nd to offer condolences to the bereaved family. On that day, colleagues, shocked by the sudden news of Park Ji-sun's passing, visited the funeral hall one after another. Comedians Park Sung-kwang, Yoo Min-sang, Kang Jae-jun, and Lee Eun-hyung were heartbroken and shed tears over the loss.

Park Ji-sun was found dead with her mother at their home in Mapo-gu, Seoul, around 1:44 p.m. on the 2nd. Park Ji-sun had been undergoing treatment for a chronic illness, and her mother had come to Seoul to live with her.

A one-page note presumed to be a suicide letter written by her mother was found at the scene, but it will not be disclosed according to the wishes of the family.

An autopsy will not be conducted in accordance with the family's wishes. A representative from the Mapo Police Station in Seoul stated, "There are no signs of external intrusion, and since a note resembling a suicide letter was found, there is no suspicion of a crime," and they are investigating the details.
