Mirae Asset Daewoo, m.Club Employee Membership Share Increases by 31%
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Mirae Asset Daewoo announced on the 3rd that the proportion of office workers subscribing to m.Club, a mobile investment information service, has significantly increased from 14% last year to 45% this year.
m.Club is Mirae Asset Daewoo's representative mobile investment information service that provides domestic and overseas related investment information based on real-time data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, currently used by 400,000 customers.
Mirae Asset Daewoo analyzed that as the proportion of office workers starting stock investment increased this year, the subscription rate for m.Club, which provides investment-related information, also increased. Among new customers who opened non-face-to-face direct accounts with Mirae Asset Daewoo until September this year, the proportion of office workers rose significantly from 42% during the same period last year to 62%. In particular, the proportion of female office worker investors increased from 28% last year to 39%, highlighting the growth trend of female investors. By age group, office workers in their 30s and 40s accounted for 65%, indicating that they are actively using stock investment as a form of financial management.
The actual stock trading amounts of new office worker investors this year were in the order of under 5 million KRW (35%), 5 million to under 10 million KRW (9%), 10 million to under 30 million KRW (15%), 30 million to under 100 million KRW (16%), and over 100 million KRW (25%).
In particular, the proportion of customers trading over 100 million KRW increased from 16% last year to 25% this year, indicating a considerable interest in the stock market among new office worker investors.
The proportion of customers investing in both domestic and overseas stocks also tripled compared to last year, reaching 15%. It is interpreted that the proportion of overlapping trades increased significantly as customers who started investing in domestic stocks added overseas stock trading. The proportion of parallel investment customers is expected to continue increasing in the future.
A Mirae Asset Daewoo official said, “Among the various services of m.Club, services such as ‘Dr. Big’s Investment Diagnosis,’ which analyzes my investment patterns and diagnoses held stocks based on investment information from customers with good investment habits, and ‘Top Trader’s Choice,’ which allows real-time viewing of the top 1% trading stocks by investment return, have high customer satisfaction.”
