LG Chem Conducts Social Contribution Activities for Science Education in Ontact Environment
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] LG Chem, together with Kia Hope and Dong-A Science, is launching a differentiated ontact social contribution activity called 'LIKE GREEN' to lead education and sharing culture for youth.
LG Chem announced on the 3rd that it will recruit a university student mentor group to lead 'LIKE GREEN'. The application period is until the 23rd of this month, and any university student nationwide interested in environment, science, and educational volunteering can apply.
'LIKE GREEN' is a newly launched ontact social contribution program in response to the prolonged spread of COVID-19. Through team activities with university student mentors, it aims to raise awareness about the environment and support youth to grow properly by sharing concerns and empathy regarding career paths and academics.
For this educational activity, creativity and proactiveness in video production are important. Applicants must create video content on the theme of G.R.E.E.N (Global warming / Recycling / Energy / Ecosystem / Next-generation technology) and post the video on their personal SNS accounts with tags such as 'LG Chem' and 'LIKEGREEN', then include the link in the application form.
Applicants can produce videos within 2 minutes in any format or genre such as personal broadcasting, web dramas, commercials, music videos, or animations, delivering scientific knowledge or environmental practices in daily life.
LG Chem will comprehensively evaluate the sincerity regarding environment and educational volunteering through submitted videos and document screening, selecting a total of 20 university student mentors. Outstanding video works will also be awarded.
Detailed information about this recruitment can be found on the official website. The university student mentor group will have opportunities to enhance their video and environmental education skills through coaching by experts. A total of four sessions of science and environment lectures and video production know-how programs by professional instructors will be held throughout December.
