Park Ji-sun Found Dead at Home with Mother; "Suicide Note-Like Memo Discovered" (Comprehensive Report 3)
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Comedian Park Ji-sun (36) was found dead with her mother on the afternoon of the 2nd. A note resembling a suicide letter was found at the scene.
According to the Mapo Police Station in Seoul, Park was found dead along with her mother, who lived with her, at their home in Mapo-gu, Seoul that afternoon.
Park’s father reported the case after his daughter and wife did not answer their phones, and when the police arrived and entered the house, both were found deceased. A Mapo Police Station official stated, "A note resembling a suicide letter, believed to have been written by Park’s mother, was found." The discovered note was about one page long, and its detailed contents have not been disclosed according to the wishes of the bereaved family.
No external injuries were found on Park and her mother. The police are conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths by questioning those close to them.
It is reported that Park’s mother had moved to Seoul to live with Park. Park had been undergoing treatment for a chronic illness.
