Starting with the opening performance on October 9th at the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center, all seats were sold out for the tour performances in Tongyeong on the 23rd and Changwon on the 31st.
A theater company official expressed, “We apologize for not being able to offer viewing opportunities to many people due to socially distanced seating caused by COVID-19,” adding, “We have been receiving continuous inquiries about encore performances and are actively considering additional provincial tours next year.”
The inaugural play Toji I by the Gyeongnam Provincial Theater Company, based on the epic novel Toji set in Gyeongnam regions such as Hadong, Tongyeong, and Jinju, captivated audiences for 180 minutes with its well-structured direction, earning praise from critics and local residents alike.
