Inje University Re-selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Industry-Academia Cooperation Work-Learning Dual System Project'
493 Students Completed 4-Year Long-Term Field Training and 91 Students Secured Early Employment Through Work-Learning Dual System
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyunju] Inje University announced on the 2nd that it has been reselected for the 'IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project' organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
The IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project operates two programs at universities: 'Work-Learning Dual System' and 'Long-term Field Training,' serving as an industry-academia cooperation model to enhance university students' practical skills and resolve manpower mismatches between universities and companies.
In particular, the Work-Learning Dual System involves early employment in the first semester of the senior year, where universities provide off-the-job training (OFF-JT) and companies conduct on-the-job training (OJT) focused on industrial fieldwork, cultivating practical talents suited for the industrial field.
Inje University was the first in the Gyeongnam region to be selected for the IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project in 2016. Over the past four years, 493 students completed long-term field training, and 91 students secured employment through the Work-Learning Dual System.
Currently, in the fifth year of the project, 100 long-term field trainees are performing OJT job duties, and 30 Work-Learning Dual System student workers are participating in training.
