The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants Holds Tax Practice Seminar with the Tax Policy Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 2nd at 3 PM that it will jointly hold a tax practice seminar (webinar) with the Korean Tax Policy Association on the theme of 'Desirable Tax System Operation Direction for Debt-to-Equity Conversion'.
This seminar will be broadcast live online via YouTube. Starting with the opening remarks by Kim Youngsik, President of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the welcome speech by Oh Munsung, President of the Korean Tax Policy Association, the seminar will examine the tax system for debt-to-equity conversion from various perspectives.
The first presenter, Professor Lee Junggyo of Yonsei University, will examine the taxation issues of debt forgiveness income arising from debt-to-equity conversion from the debtor's perspective.
The second presenter, Lee Jaewoo, Executive Director of Anjin Accounting Corporation, will analyze the handling issues of debt-to-equity conversion losses arising from debt-to-equity conversion from the creditor's perspective.
