'Delivery Infrastructure Established' CU, First Convenience Store Chain to Join Wemakeprice O
Providing Services to Customers Through Various Platforms
Improving Profitability for Store Owners with Low Channel Fees
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] CU announced on the 2nd that it will launch delivery services on Wemakeprice O (WemepO), the first in the industry, in response to the increasing demand for convenience store delivery. WemepO is a delivery platform that independently launched from Wemakeprice on the 1st of this month. As of last month, more than 45,000 businesses have joined the platform.
Since starting delivery services in partnership with Yogiyo in April last year, CU currently operates the largest number of service points in the industry, with about 5,700 stores as of November. CU has continuously improved service quality by joining Naver Easy Order, introducing late-night delivery for the first time (3,000 stores), expanding services to small and medium-sized cities, and introducing walking delivery services.
Additionally, within this month, CU plans to continuously add mobile shopping channels, including the Dingdong delivery app, which participates in the public-private cooperation win-win network Zero Delivery Union, and the Owin vehicle pickup service that allows customers to purchase pre-ordered products via a drive-thru method through an application.
CU stated, "By newly joining WemepO this time, we can provide services to customers through various delivery platforms," and added, "For franchise owners, the low channel commission fees and zero additional advertising and incidental cost policies can increase operational profitability."
To commemorate the partnership between CU and WemepO, exclusive products will also be released. CU has prepared limited edition WemepO eco bag sets (12,000 KRW) and WemepO gift sets (15,800 KRW), which include Nude, Almond, and Crunky Pepero, along with WemepO discount coupons, in celebration of the upcoming Pepero Day.
